Schiedam

In the beginning of March 2014 our community was founded. At the moment our community has three members: AvinKunnekkadan, Richard Lobo and Edmund Deku. As this community we want to realize our missionary task: to bring to all people the love of Christ, his teachings and mercy. We try therefore to form a community where everyone is welcome, where everyone can grow, can realize his vision and mission and can make his dreams come true. We wish to do so in cooperation with the local churches. Based in this community we carry out our missionary task to proclaim the Word of God in our life. Together with the local churches where we are active, we want to carry out the NEB vision and mission. Avin is working in the student pastorate in TU Delft, the Unesco IHE water management Institute Delft, and the Institute for Social Studies in Den Haag (ISS); and in the parish of the Good Shepherd in Schiedam- Maassluis and Vlaardingen; Avin is the contact person with the parish of Maassluis. Richard is a member of the parish team of the parish of the Four Evangelists and is the contact person for the parish of the Pastor of Ars. We are very happy that the parish of the good Shepherd in Schiedam, Maassluis and Vlaardingen and the bishop of Rotterdam made the rectory of the Liduina Basilica available so that our community can live there.
Richtlijnen en doelstellingen
Om de missie en visie in praktijk te brengen, hebben wij als communiteit zeven richtlijnen opgesteld. Wij proberen die op een of andere manier in onze communiteit of in onze werkplek handen en voeten te geven. Deze zijn:
1. Persoonlijke relatie met God en contact met de medemens.
2. Het belang van Gods woord aantonen aan de moderne generatie.
3. Levend naar het Sacrament; persoonlijk, in de communiteit en in de samenleving.
4. Het koesteren en ontwikkelen van gemeenschappen en interreligieuze dialoog
5. Gastvrijheid
6. Diaconie en zorg voor de armen
7. Het verkondigen en verspreiden van Gods woord.
